I writing this sad to see Chinese Dragon go 12/31/21. I live most of the time in So Cal but part time on the Range . I've been eating here for more the 30 years and the best Cantonese food I've ever had . Good luck and good health to the owners on their retirement .

We ate dinner here tonight. I got Cantonese fried noodles (vegetarian) and my husband got a chicken dish. Both were excellent and abundant. This restaurant is authentic and has many more options beyond the usual Americanized Chinese food. Even though we ate in, one dish was served nicely on a platter and the other was served in a styrofoam to go box. The woman who served us was very nice and service was prompt.

HUGE portions, great taste, and entertaining staff! Seating area could use a good scrub down. However will be a place we revisit when we return to Duluth!

Duluth is a final holdout of old-school, 1950s-style Cantonese restaurants (the type prominently, and disparagingly, featured in A Christmas Story). When visiting, you have to try at least one of the dozen or so spots in town; they're fun, unusual and often-times pretty tasty. We got take-out from Chinese Dragon and enjoyed the Vegetable Cantonese pan-friend noodles ($8) which comes in a huge portion and features a gloopy, but tasty, sauce. The vegetables were over-cooked, but for $8 it's hard to complain. The tofu with straw mushrooms ($8) consists of giant slabs of firm, pan-fried tofu with peapods and mushrooms. I liked the savoriness of the dish even though it doesn't look like much. Lastly, the curry with vegetables ($8) was a solid Chinese yellow curry dish, but really oily. All in all, you can't go wrong with the portions and the great flavors. The food here isn't super authentic or sophisticated, but it's also not Panda Express. If anything, places like Chinese Dragon and its competitors in-town are a fabulous, living time capsule of what Chinese-American food used to be in the US many decades ago---interesting, kitschy, full of value and full of flavor. Check it out.
